These bills will not end piracy, but instead put a filter on the Internet usage for United States users similar to the one used in China. Congress needs to be educated a whole lot more on the technical workings of the Internet if they are going to try passing bills to govern it. SOPA means "Stop Online Privacy Act" but it would do so much more than that. Not allowed websites to use materials from other sites and so much more. Thousands (multiples of thousands) of websites would be censored and shut down.
